XH 2.54 Series originally by JST have been designed specifically to provide high-density mounting for a range of miniature electronic equipment.
It became a standard in 3d printer control boards and expand its use in DIY space.
While also fits standard 2.54mm grid of breadboards, protoboards and universal boards, contrary to dupont connector, it resists being accidentally pulled out or connected in wrong orientation
