The MQ-135 air quality Sensor as a "plug and play" module for Arduino and Raspberry Pi
Easy-to-use Sensor for measuring the concentration of various toxic gases, such as Benzon, alcohol, smoke, and impurities in the air. The MQ-135 measures a gas concentration of 10 to 1000ppm, and is ideal for detecting gas leaks, as Gas Alarm or other robotics, and Microcontroller projects.
The Sensors of the MQ-series using a small heating element with an electronically-chemical Sensor. They are sensitive to a wide variety of gases and are suitable for use in rooms.
The Sensor has a high sensitivity and fast response time is required, however, for a few minutes until he accurate readings outputting, as the Sensor must first be heated up. The Measured Values the sensor as an analog value to be outputwhich can be evaluated with a Microcontroller.
This Sensor is ready for connection to a Microcontrollersuch as an Arduino Board. For use with a Raspberry Pi in addition, an AD is required Converter.
Pinout:
- VCC - 5V power supply
- GND - ground connection
- AOUT - Analog Output
- DOUT - Digital Output
To Set the threshold value, the module has a Potentiometer. On the digital Pin of the Sensor returns only a 0 or a 1, depending on whether the set threshold value is exceeded.
Caution: The Sensor is in operation, hot!
